I feel terrible writing this, but these are the worst crochet hooks I have ever used. Having tried almost every brand, I’ve never experienced anything like this. The drag is so severe you can't complete a single stitch; it feels like crocheting with sandpaper and glue.
I tested every size the day they arrived and immediately messaged customer service for tips. It’s now the next afternoon, and I haven't heard back. At this high price point, I shouldn't have to troubleshoot new hooks anyway, but even after trying, the terrible drag remained.
I followed up this morning to request a full return. I understand this might be a quality control issue for a new small company, but I paid a lot of money and want a timely resolution—and it's annoying I have to pay for return shipping.
I've seen influencers promoting these, so I must have just gotten a bad batch. I'm hoping this review finally gets the company’s attention so I can get my money back.

This is my 2nd set! Love them!!

I love the hook, however when i opened the packaging there was a very pungent oder and when i opened the zippered case it was worse. When i used the hook my hands smell bad. Not sure what to do.

Unfortunately with this first batch of cases, there was a bit of an odor residual from manufacturing. We did what we could to mitigate that and have since worked to remedy it as they are being made. The next batch is much better! I am happy to exchange the set for you when those new sets are assembled and ready to go. The team in TX is getting them finished as soon as possible. I knew the specs and the quality would be outstanding because . . . well, Ashlea! What I didn't expect was how beautiful these hooks are. I got the peach and rose gold and I'm just in love with the rose gold. It just a pleasure to be able to use a tool that is also beautifully curated and thoughtfully designed. My new favorties.
