I knew the specs and the quality would be outstanding because . . . well, Ashlea! What I didn't expect was how beautiful these hooks are. I got the peach and rose gold and I'm just in love with the rose gold. It just a pleasure to be able to use a tool that is also beautifully curated and thoughtfully designed. My new favorties. These are the best hooks that I have ever owned and, like most, I own A LOT. I love the weight, the feel of the handle, and how the hook glides through and pulls the yarn. The ruler on one side is a life saver when I can’t find, or am not near, the one in my wip bag. The case is perfect for tucking in a pair of scissors, a pattern, and stitch markers. I love that this is a woman-owned business that thoughtfully crafted the hook based on what she, a fellow crocheter, felt was lacking in the big business crochet hooks. I can’t wait to see the new colors and sizing that will be coming next.

I love these hooks. I was using etimo hooks. The squeaking was making me crazy. I love the handle and weight and finish on these. I have noticed less hand fatigue as well.

Took a little bit to get used to. But now I love them. The weight is perfect. And I don't hold it as tightly as I hold other hooks. My hands and wrists are more relaxed and I can work longer.

I love the hook, however when i opened the packaging there was a very pungent oder and when i opened the zippered case it was worse. When i used the hook my hands smell bad. Not sure what to do.

Unfortunately with this first batch of cases, there was a bit of an odor residual from manufacturing. We did what we could to mitigate that and have since worked to remedy it as they are being made. The next batch is much better! I am happy to exchange the set for you when those new sets are assembled and ready to go. The team in TX is getting them finished as soon as possible. The cases themselves going forward have been manufactured in a different way and that smell from the process has been eliminated. One might even call them fresh!

Hooks are amazing the case does have a strong smell to it but once it airs out will be amazing.

Very pretty.. they are a little heavier than I thought not as smooth on the yarn squeaky on two different yarns that I’ve tried so far..

That being said, the aluminum should not squeak at all through the yarn. I am wondering if your hooks slipped through quality control or if there is another reason. These hooks are perfect! From the weight of them, the shape of the handle, to the smoothness of the hook, not to mention the ruler and fast delivery, I have zero complaints. I like them more than my clovers and tulips. I went back and ordered the rose gold as well!

First I would like to thank you for purchasing a set. I am glad you like the actual hooks!

Some others have mentioned an odor upon opening. I discovered that it is during the manufacturing of the case and the glues used to adhere the lining that this smell is created. We have put a plan in place to diminish this in the future but I understand that this doesn't help your current situation, so we have a couple of options.

The first option involves the case naturally airing out and the smell dissipating. You can sit the opened case outside to air out to speed this process up, and/or add an odor catching packet. Another person that mentioned the smell has success with the Fresh Wave odor removing packets in her set.

I am happy to provide a partial refund so that you can purchase those packs. The other option is that I can provide you with a return label and send you a fresh set that has had the odor removing packets added.

Beautiful set of crochet hooks! Well balanced, smooth with a long enough shaft and a comfortable handle. Love that these were designed with a crocheter in mind and have the convenience of a ruler on the handle for measuring gauge. I hope she'll decide to do another set with larger and smaller hooks.
